19 March 2024 – Four delegations from the Microbial Culture Collection Unit (UNiCC), led by Prof. Dr. Zunita Zakaria, Director of the Institute of Bioscience and Advisor for UNiCC, went to the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) in Petaling Jaya for a working visit session. The purpose of this visit was to engage in discussions concerning UNiCC's readiness and requirements for obtaining the status of National Depositary Authority (NDA). Following the discussions, the UNiCC delegation was given a tour of the new MyIPO office, which is slated for official launch in April 2024.
