20 May – The Microscopy Unit, Institute of Biosciences (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has successfully implemented the MS ISO/IEC 17025 Surveillance Audit session today. The program, which took place from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, is part of the institute's ongoing commitment to maintaining international standards for the efficiency of testing and calibration laboratories.
The session began with a presentation involving staff from the Microscopy Unit and the Malaysian Standards Department. Based on the recorded activities, participants were actively involved in technical discussion sessions and document reviews displayed via presentation screens and two-way discussions to ensure that each work process meets the set audit criteria.
The implementation of this audit is in line with UPM's motto, "Berilmu Berbakti", where it is hoped that the strengthening of service quality at the Institute of Biosciences can continue to contribute to research excellence and innovation at the university and national levels. This session ended successfully after all technical and management aspects were reviewed in detail throughout the audit period.
