31 July 2026 – The Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), welcomed the evaluation panel for the Read@Uni UPM Reading Corner Award 2026 on 31 July 2026.

The evaluation session, held at the Read@IBS Reading Corner, aimed to assess the institute's efforts in creating a conducive, creative, and high-impact reading space, in line with Universiti Putra Malaysia's aspiration to cultivate a strong reading culture and strengthen the ecosystem of lifelong learning.

The evaluation panel comprised Ms. Noor Syafini Zamani and Ms. Emelda Mohd Hamid, who assessed various aspects of the reading corner, including its management, creativity and innovation, involvement of the IBS community, and the implementation of reading promotion activities throughout the year.

The visit also included a tour of the reading corner and demonstrations of several interactive activities that have become the unique identity of the Read@IBS Reading Corner. The commitment shown by the IBS community reflects the institute's continuous efforts to foster a reading culture while supporting knowledge development, creativity, and the well-being of the university community.

The Institute of Bioscience extends its sincere appreciation to the evaluation panel for their visit and valuable assessment. The institute also expresses its gratitude to all IBS staff and members who contributed their commitment and cooperation in making the Read@IBS Reading Corner an active, conducive, and beneficial knowledge space for the university community.

It is hoped that these meaningful initiatives will continue to promote a vibrant reading culture while supporting UPM's aspiration of becoming a knowledge-driven university.
