14 April 2023 – The launching ceremony of “Framework on Traditional and Complementary Medicine Research in Malaysia & Guideline for Herbal Medicine Research” was organized by the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Division, Ministry of Health of Malaysia and Herbal Medicine Research Centre, Institute for Medical Research. The ceremony was held in the Auditorium Perdana, National Institute of Health Malaysia, Setia Alam and officiated by Yang Berhormat Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Health Minister of Malaysia. Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Faizal Abdull Razis, Head of Natural Medicines and Products Research Laboratory (NaturMeds), Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia attended the launching ceremony. He was appointed as one of the technical committee members for “Guideline for Herbal Medicine Research”. The primary purpose of this guideline is to provide structured guidance for researchers, academicians, clinicians, traditional and complementary medicine practitioners, and relevant stakeholders of the herbal industry.
