Introduction to Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) and Presentation of CHRA Report Findings

7 March 2024 – The Occupational Safety and Health Committee of the Institute of Bioscience (IBS), chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ina Salwany Md. Yasin, in collaboration with IBS Management, organized a training session on Introduction to Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) and the presentation of CHRA Report Findings. This training involved a total of 25 IBS staff.

The primary objective of the training was to enhance the understanding of laboratory staff, who handle chemicals at IBS, regarding the risks associated with chemical exposure in the workplace. Additionally, it aimed to provide insights into the findings of the CHRA report conducted in November 2023. The training session was facilitated by Mrs. Rozalini Ahmad from Linosh Resources, who delivered an informative and impactful presentation. The session proved effective in equipping participants with valuable knowledge and insights into chemical safety and health risks in the laboratory setting.
