16 February 2023 – A two-day proposal writing workshop entitled "Economics of Innovation and Information Technology (IT) Along the Aquaculture Chains to Support Climate Change Resilience and Poverty Reduction in Southeast Asia" was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with international collaborators. This workshop was organized by the Institute of Bioscience, UPM, in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM, the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Indonesia, Han University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands, and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Vietnam.
The primary goal of this workshop is to provide a platform for interactive discussion and the reports presentation on domestic and foreign industry engagement sessions, as well as to write a full proposal that will be forwarded to the Economy and Environment Partnership for Southeast Asia (EEPSEA), a collaboration between the Economy and Environment Program for Southeast Asia (EEPSEA Program) and related funders. Experts and researchers shared information and the most recent research in the fields of information technology and climate change during this workshop session. This workshop was attended by 30 participants, including researchers, research assistants, and industry representatives from Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam.
