Recipient of Young Scientist Program Fellowship 2024

19 September 2024 - The Young Scientist Program 2024 brought together postgraduate students and early-career scientists—those with no more than 10 years of post-graduate experience—from FAOBMB and IUBMB Constituent Member countries/regions. This prestigious event offered participants the opportunity to attend and present their research at both the Young Scientist Program 2024 and Biomolecular Horizons 2024. The Young Scientist Program Fellowship provided these talented young scientists a platform to share and exchange scientific insights, present their work to an international audience, connect with globally renowned professors, and advance their scientific careers.

Dr. Norfarrah Mohamed Alipiah, an emerging Research Officer, was honored with the Young Scientist Program Fellowship, enabling her to attend the Young Scientist Program 2024 held from September 19 to 22, 2024, in Macedon Ranges, Australia. She delivered an oral presentation on her research titled "Molecular Interaction in Quorum Sensing Regulation: A Case Study in Vibrio campbellii Cell Inhibition Assay". In addition to her oral presentation, Dr. Norfarrah also showcased her research through a poster exhibition at the Biomolecular Horizons 2024 conference, which took place from September 22 to 26, 2024, in Melbourne, Australia. A total of 36 researchers from diverse countries, including Bangladesh, Canada, Chile, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Australia, were selected to participate in the Young Scientist Program 2024, making it a truly global gathering of emerging scientific talent.
