4 February 2026 – The Workshop on Basic High Performance Liquid Chromatography was organized by the Natural Medicines and Products Research Laboratory (NaturMeds), Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and was held at the Seminar Room, NaturMeds A, IBS. This workshop was attended by researchers and students from both within and outside UPM.

The workshop aimed to provide participants with foundational exposure and a clear understanding of the basic principles and theoretical aspects of chromatography methods. Apart from that, this workshop is expected to develop non-chemists' expertise in the use of chromatography methods. The lecture session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Intan Safinar Ismail, Research Fellow at NaturMeds. A lecture slot was also presented by the guest speaker from IT Tech Research Sdn Bhd, Ms. Musfirah Mustafa.

Overall, this workshop received positive feedback from participants and successfully achieved its main objectives. The participants expressed their appreciation to the organizers and hoped that similar workshops would continue to be conducted in the future to further strengthen knowledge and improve the quality of research.
