4 June 2024 – The Aquatic Species Invasive Screening Kit (AS-ISK) workshop is a program organised by the Aquatic Animal Health and Therapeutics Laboratory (AquaHealth) and was held at the AquaHealth Resource Room, Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This workshop involved five staff members from the Institute of Tropical Aquaculture and Fisheries, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and lasted for three days, starting from June 4, 2024 until June 6, 2024. This workshop was officiated by Professor Dr. Mohammad Noor Amal Azmai (Head of AquaHealth, UPM) and managed by Dr. Saba Abdulwakil Olawale (Post Doctoral Researcher, Faculty of Science, UPM). Among the modules presented by Dr. Saba Abdulwakil Olawale were Risk Screening Protocols and Levels, AS-ISK Calibration Using ROC in SPSS, Invasive Risk Assessment Case Studies, and Practical Sessions of AS-ISK. This workshop aims to enhance practical skills in application (AS-ISK) and strengthen collaboration between the Aquatic Animal Health and Therapeutics Laboratory at IBS, UPM and the Institute of Tropical Aquaculture and Fisheries at UMT in the management of invasive aquatic species.
