27 January 2025 - The Technical Presentation for Scheme C for the January session was successfully conducted at the Microscopy Unit, with participants comprising Science Officers and Assistant Science Officers from the Institute of Bioscience (IBS). This programme was organised by the IBS Laboratory Management Secretariat.

The first presenter was Mrs Irmazian Abd Shukor, a Science Officer from the Microscopy Unit. She delivered a presentation on the topic TEM & its Applications. In addition to the lecture session, she also provided a brief demonstration using the relevant equipment. The second presenter was Ms Nurnajwa Mohd Lazim, an Assistant Science Officer at the Natural Medicines and Products Research Laboratory (NaturMeds). She shared a presentation titled Operation of the UV-VIS Spectrophotometer.

It is hoped that this programme provided greater exposure to Scheme C staff on the handling of specialised equipment/techniques and facilitated the exchange of ideas among Scheme C staff at IBS.
