28 August 2025 – The Talent@IBS programme for Scheme C Technical Presentations, August 2025 session, an initiative by the IBS Laboratory Services Management Secretariat, was successfully held with the participation of laboratory staff from the Institute of Bioscience (IBS). The programme took place at the NaturMeds B Meeting Room.

The first presenter, Ms. Norhayati Binti Yusuf, Assistant Science Officer (C6) from the Vaccine and Biomolecule Laboratory (VacBio), presented a topic on Sample Preparation Techniques for 

Zetasizer. The second presentation was delivered by Mrs. Emi Nadia Binti Mohd Thani, Assistant Science Officer (C5) from the UPM-MAKNA Cancer Research Laboratory (CANRES), who explained How to Clean a Biosafety Cabinet.

After the presentations, Mr. Rafiuz Zaman Bin Haroun, Head of the IBS Laboratory Services Management Secretariat, delivered a briefing on reporting requirements and activities to be carried out by the laboratories. The programme concluded with a doa selamat prayer led by Mr. Mohamad Ismail Bin Baharom, seeking safety and well-being for Ms. Ainaa Syafiqah Binti Mohd Alias, who will be departing for South Korea to attend a one-month attachment training programme.

The monthly Talent@IBS programme is hoped to strengthen technical knowledge and enhance staff understanding of equipment handling and laboratory techniques, while also serving as a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences among IBS laboratory staff.
