Talent@IBS Advances Practical Competency Among Support Staff

SERDANG, April 24The Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) today launched a monthly knowledge-sharing series under the Talent@IBS: Support Staff initiative, bringing together personnel from various fields. The inaugural session commenced at 3.00 p.m. at the IBS Main Lobby, here, with a workshop titled “Auto Care 101 Asas: Jaga Kereta, Jaga Poket”.

The programme, scheduled to run monthly from 24 April, aims to create a knowledge-sharing platform and enhance staff competence through exposure to relevant practical topics. The initiative places emphasis on the involvement of staff from diverse backgrounds, who are given the opportunity to share their respective expertise and experiences to empower their life skills and personal development.

For the April edition, the focus was placed on vehicle maintenance, led by Mr. Zainal Abidin Salleh. This initiative represents a strategic effort by IBS to foster a continuous learning culture and ensure active staff participation in dynamic organisational development activities.

Based on feedback from 30 respondents, the first session received positive evaluations, particularly for its highly practical content. Participants viewed this monthly series as an ideal step toward increasing their personal value-add in line with current needs while strengthening their life skills in personal asset care.
