26 March 2024 – The Empowering Postgraduate Writing Program: Leveraging Writing Assistance Applications for Journal and Thesis Writing is organized by the Aquatic Animal Health and Therapeutics Laboratory (AquaHealth) and was held at the Tongkat Ali Emas Seminar Room, Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Dr. Mohamad Aslah Mohammad, an AquaHealth post-doctoral researcher, delivered the seminar, emphasizing the importance of using writing aid applications to facilitate the writing process and produce high-quality work. The workshop covered several topics, including Mastering Writing Tools, Efficient Reference Management with Mendeley, and leveraging ChatGPT, Grammarly, QuillBot, and Mendeley in journal and thesis writing. The participants, postgraduate students from the Institute of Bioscience, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, were among the first to benefit from this initiative. This program is expected to have a positive impact on their future scientific writing endeavors.
