11 April 2023 – The Natural Medicines and Products Research Laboratory (NaturMeds), Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received a new unit of the Charm II system worth USD 66,209.89 and sponsored by a research grant for the National Technical Cooperation (TC) Project under the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) TC Programme led by Assoc. Prof.  Dr. Ahmad Faizal Abdull Razis. Charm II System in-house training was held at NaturMeds B for three days (11-13 April 2023) to train student and lab staffs from NaturMeds and Department of Veterinary Service. This training enlightenment has been delivered by Miss Syifa Nur Aulia Syamsu A. Md from PT HAES BROTHERS, Jakarta, Indonesia. The Charm II system provides comprehensive food safety testing for multiple food matrices. It is used to test for a wide range of residues in milk, egg, fish, grain, honey, serum, tissue, urine, and water testing. With the existence of the Charm II System, the research at NaturMeds can be enhanced.
