30 May - 1 June 2023: The 3-day cell culture workshop series 2023 was successfully organised by UPM-MAKNA Cancer Research Laboratory (CANRES), Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia. This workshop series is organised annually and opened to the public, especially for researchers and students who are beginners in cancer research. The workshop consisted of six lectures that took place at Bilik Tongkat Ali Emas and seven practical sessions that were conducted in CANRES. A total of 11 participants who had attended this workshop were from Universiti Putra Malaysia, National Defence University of Malaysia, National Institute of Biotechnology Malaysia, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The participants received a comprehensive understanding of cell culture theory and practical guidance from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chia Suet Lin (Head of Laboratory of CANRES), and Dr. Armania Nurdin (an Interim Research Associate of CANRES) as well as technical staff of CANRES during the practical sessions.
