11 June 2024 - A three-day cell culture workshop for cancer research 2024 was successfully organised by UPM-MAKNA Cancer Research Laboratory (CANRES), Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This annual workshop is open to the public, especially for researchers and students who are new to cell culture techniques for cancer research. The workshop consisted of six lectures that took place at Tongkat Ali Emas Room and seven practical sessions that were conducted in CANRES. A total of five participants who attended this workshop were postgraduate students and staff from UPM. They received a comprehensive understanding of cell culture theory and practical guidance from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chia Suet Lin, Head of CANRES, and Dr. Armania Nurdin, an Interim CANRES Research Associate, along with technical staff of CANRES throughout the practical sessions.
