Background

The Biodiversity Unit supports Institute of Bioscience in its mission to become a local and international centre of excellence for research and development in plant biodiversity. This unit offers services in research on plant sciences and its high achievement have been enhanced and supported by the high technology facilities in institute.

To established a plant database for research. To serve as a centre of plant ex-situ conservation and extension for research, teaching and education

UPM CONSERVATORY PARK
Consist of living collections of 500 plant species divided into 11 zones on 2 hectares of land.
