Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia and Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia was signed on August 28, 2012 equal to 8 Syawal 1423 at the Chancellery Building, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The MoU was signed by the Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation UKM Prof. Dato. Dr. Rahmah and Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation UPM  Prof. Dato 'Ir. Mohd Saleh Jaafar, and also signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Sahrim Ahmad and Director of IBS, Dr. Abdul Rahman Omar.

Five scope of services agreed including research, education and learning, publishing and development and transformation of knowledge. Through this MoU, several activities have been successfully carried out such specialized services and the use of equipment, joint production of books and journals, attachments staff, students and industry training seminars and courses. As a result of this MoU has made a great impact to both the university as a top research university in Malaysia, but its contribution to the campus community.
