Education and work history

Dr. Yazid Yaakob is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, UPM. He received B. Eng. in Electric and Electronic Engineering (2010), M. Eng. in Physics, Electronics and Mechanics (2012) and D. Eng. (PhD) in Frontier Materials from Nagoya Institute of Technology, JAPAN. During his PhD, he worked on synthesis of ion-induced composite carbon nanofibers and in-situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) study of graphene growth via joule heat. His work now mainly focuses on carbon nanomaterials for green technology and sustainable energy application. Current Research Interest Synthesis of carbon nanomaterials from waste materials by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Optimization of the carbon nanomaterials for target application.
