A two-day Workshop on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing has been successfully organized by the Microbial Culture Collection Unit (UNiCC), Institute of Bioscience on 25th and 26th August 2020.

Three participants from UTM, UPM dan Thor Specialties Sdn. Bhd. had completed the course. Disc diffusion, well diffusion and minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) assays were among the topics covered in this workshop.

Lecture on the introduction of antimicrobial susceptibility testing and other related methods was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yaya Rukayadi, a research associate from the Natural Medicines and Product Research Laboratory; while demonstration and lectures on the Elisa Reader were presented by Dr. Ler Lian Wee, in collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific.
