21 March 2023 – Safety and Health Inspection (PKK) 2023 has been carried out by the Occupational Safety and Health Inspection Team, UPM at the Institute of Bioscience (IBS) on several selected scopes and laboratories. The inspection team consisted of officers from the Occupational Safety and Health Management Office (PPKKP), the First Aid Unit and the Faculty of Engineering, UPM. The scopes of inspection were including the fire prevention system, occupational health and safety management as well as the compliance to related acts and regulations (e.g. Akta Kilang dan Jentera 1967, Peraturan-peraturan KKP (Penggunaan dan Standard Pendedahan Bahan Kimia Berbahaya Kepada Kesihatan) 2000, Peraturan-peraturan Kualiti Alam Sekeliling (Buangan Terjadual) 2005, Akta Perlesenan Tenaga Atom 1984 and Akta Biokeselamatan 2007). All persons in-charge and IBS staff involved had provided good cooperation throughout the inspection process.
