18 July 2023 - An in-house training event @ AquaHealth with Codon Genomics Sdn Bhd, titled "Metagenomic Sequencing, Digital Technologies, and Data Science," took place at Bilik Tongkat Ali Emas, Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia. The training featured a seminar led by Dr. Hazwan Fikri, the Genomics Account Scientist from Codon Genomics. His presentation was titled "Decoding the Microbial World." The program was then followed by a presentation from Ms. Cheong Shun Hui, the Application Scientist at Codon Genomics, who discussed "How Digital Technologies Can Help Clean Up Your Data." This programme was attended by researchers from the IBS and it was conducted in an interactive manner. Participants actively engaged with the speakers by raising questions, discussing topics, and seeking direct consultations. The event facilitated the exchange of knowledge regarding the application of metagenomic sequencing and data management tools between the industrial and academic sectors. This knowledge-sharing aims to amplify the impact of research endeavors.
