19 June 2023 - A total of 18 delegates from the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) committee of Institute of Bioscience (IBS), had conducted a milestone visit to the Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP). The visit was led by Mrs. Farah Deena Zainol, the EKSA coordinator of IBS. The purpose of this visit was to provide a clearer overview on EKSA practices that have been implemented in INTROP. It is also hoped that this visit will provide some guidance to the EKSA committee of IBS in improving their EKSA implementation to achieve the established objectives.

The visit began with a briefing by the EKSA Chairman of INTROP, Mrs. Suryani Ahmad, and followed by laboratory visits to Material Preparation Laboratory 2 of Sustainable Forest Biomaterial Management Laboratory,  Pulp and Paper Technology Laboratory of Biopolymer and Derivatives Laboratory, as well as  Product Development Unit, Biopolymer Laboratory, and Material Testing Unit of Biocomposite Technology Laboratory.
