Education and work history

Associate Professor Dr Siti Nurbaya Oslan’s primary research interest is in the field of molecular biology, focusing on ways to express the recombinant proteins using novel yeast expression system. Her current work is in the development of the safe yeast strains with an improved recombinant protein/enzyme expression for various applications. Apart from that, she also works on designing new proteins to be used in food industries. She is also a Principal Investigator in Enzyme and Microbial Research Centre (EMTech), UPM and a lifetime member of AFOB-Malaysia Chapter.
