Education and work history

Associate Professor Dr Henny Akit’s primary research interest is in the field of Monogastric Animal Nutrition. Her current work includes the use of dietary alternative ingredients and supplementation to improve the gut health and production in poultry, towards ensuring food security and sustainable agriculture. She has also done work to evaluate the feeding practices and nutrient balance of horses in Malaysia. She is an EXCO member and treasurer of the Malaysian Society of Animal Production
