25 June 2025 – A two-day workshop on Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (SR/MA) was successfully conducted on 25–26 June 2025 at the Tongkat Ali Emas Seminar Room, Level 4, 

Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Organized by the Natural Medicines and Products Research Laboratory (NaturMeds), the workshop was held from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering participants an in-depth, hands-on learning experience.

The workshop aimed to address the challenges commonly faced by researchers in conducting SR/MA and introduced a step-by-step guide using Meta-IMU software, a free tool developed specifically for this purpose. The workshop featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Haryo Sasongko from the International Medical University (IMU), a Cochrane Collaboration contributor, and Dr. Ho Ket Li, the developer of Meta-IMU, an R Shiny-based SR/MA tool.

The event attracted scientists, lecturers, medical officers, and postgraduate students from UPM, government agencies, public hospitals, and higher learning institutions nationwide. Participants praised the workshop for its comprehensive content, user-friendly software, and practical application. Many expressed eagerness to begin their own reviews and hoped the workshop would be offered again in the future.
