Key highlights included expert-led workshops on scientific publishing, thematic presentations on emerging trends in fisheries science, the Annual General Meeting of FSBI, and a field visit to the Bushmills Salmon Station, a key facility for salmon conservation and research.

Dr. Saba also engaged with fellow editorial board members, strengthening professional networks and contributing to strategic editorial discussions for the Journal of Fish Biology. The event brought together an international community of fisheries scientists, policymakers, and representatives from research institutes, academic institutions, and conservation bodies, all working toward the common goal of advancing innovation and collaboration in fisheries science.

His participation underscores the Institute of Bioscience’s ongoing commitment to global research engagement and leadership in aquatic sciences.
