3 November 2025 – A total of 14 delegates from the Institute of Bioscience (IBS) were invited by the Counseling and Career Unit of SK Putrajaya Presint 11(2) to take part in the Wonderkidz Carnival.
The IBS delegation was invited to share insights in the field of science, particularly focusing on veterinary careers. The program began with a talk by Dr. Kartini Jasni, titled “Discover the World of Veterinarians.” The 30 minutes session received enthusiastic participation, with students eagerly asking questions. Several interactive quizzes were also held, and students were excited to receive small gifts for correct answers.
After the talk, students took turns visiting exhibition booths organized by the IBS Laboratory Services Management Secretariat. Among the highlights were human and mouse comparison exhibits, a “Mysterious Powder” science activity, a handwashing demonstration by the UPM-MCC booth, and microscopic observation of organisms at the EM booth. The students including those with special needs were highly enthusiastic throughout the activities. In total, 576 students from Year 5 and Year 6, along with special needs students, participated in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) themed program.
“God willing, the collaboration between SK Putrajaya Presint 11(2) and the Institute of Bioscience will not end here. We plan to visit IBS next year,” said Mrs. Wan Norlelawati binti Wan Abdul Kadir
Guidance and Counseling Teacher of SK Putrajaya Presint 11(2).
At the end of the program, the IBS delegation was treated to a meal and a friendly session with the school’s administration team.
