5 February 2025 – The Laboratory of Vaccine and Biomolecules (VacBio), together with Codon Genomics Sdn. Bhd. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), recently hosted the Edu@VacBio Series 1, titled “Revolutionizing Biological Research and Applications: Exploring Next-Generation Biocompute Frontiers with High-Performance Computing and AI.” The programme was held at the Auditorium of the Institute of Bioscience, UPM, and was attended by 40 participants, including students, staff, and researchers from UPM.

Three speakers from Codon Genomics Sdn. Bhd. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)—Dr. Lee Wei Kang, Mr. PNV Kannan, and Mr. Syarul Idzuddin Adzmi—shared their insights on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) in modern biological research. The programme aimed to foster discussions on the transformative role of AI and HPC in the field of biology.

The event concluded with a token of appreciation for the panelists and a photo session with all the speakers and participants.
