Contract research has been carried out at COMeT since 2014 on a small scale. Since 2017, COMeT aimed to expand its research contract activities to higher education institutions and other agencies, driven by its 24-hours operation, excellent veterinary services and fully functional biosecurity level 2 comply facilities. In order to achieve this goal, COMeT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Prima Nexus Sdn. Bhd. for two years from 2022 to 2024.

Prima Nexus Sdn. Bhd. has shown high commitment in assisting and enhancing research activities at COMeT since 2017 by recommending COMeT as a high-standard animal research center to their clients, particularly in Klang Valley.

Prima Nexus Sdn. Bhd. is one of the reliable companies that supplies laboratory animals to public and private universities as well as research institutions for training and research use.

Prima Nexus Sdn. Bhd. also actively collaborates with COMeT in organizing programmes related to laboratory animals, such as animal handling workshops, as well as short-term courses, lectures and seminars involving laboratory animal
