14 July 2026 – The Institute of Bioscience (IBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), held the Certificate Presentation Ceremony for the EKSA Self-Assessment Program and EKSA Recognition Program 2026 at Bilik Kesidang, Institute of Bioscience to recognise the commitment and continuous efforts of all zones in cultivating the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA). The ceremony marked the culmination of the EKSA Self-Assessment Program, conducted on 15–16 June 2026, and the EKSA Recognition Program, which took place on 23 June 2026, both aimed at promoting a more organised, efficient, and quality workplace environment.
The certificate presentation ceremony was officiated by Professor Dr. Ina Salwany Md. Yassin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Bioscience. As part of the EKSA Self-Assessment Program 2026, every zone received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their participation and commitment throughout the assessment process. The self-assessment was conducted by the IBS EKSA Internal Auditors, with Zon Sireh Merah achieving the highest score of 100%, followed by Zon Rerama Ungu (99.71%), Zon Kemunting Cina (99.20%), Zon Mahkota Dewa (99.18%), Zon Nilam (98.85%), Zon Lelabah (98.65%), Zon Kasturi (97.95%), Zon Bakawali (97.74%), and Zon Anggerik Biru (93.16%).
The EKSA Recognition Program 2026 was evaluated by two assessors from the Development Affairs Division (BHEP), namely Wan Rohani Wan Mohamed and Muhammad Amirul Asyraf Bin Mohd. Jais. The competition featured four award categories: Best EKSA Information Corner, Best Meeting Room, Best Staff Room, and Best Pantry. Zon Mahkota Dewa emerged as the champion in the Best EKSA Information Corner and Best Meeting Room categories. Zon Sireh Merah won the Best Staff Room category, while Zon Nilam claimed the title of Best Pantry. First-place winners in each category received cash prizes and certificates of appreciation, while second and third-place winners were awarded certificates of appreciation.
The successful organisation of these two programs reflects the Institute of Bioscience's continuous commitment to strengthening the EKSA culture and fostering a workplace that is organised, efficient, safe, and conducive. The recognition serves as an encouragement for all IBS staff to continuously improve workplace quality and sustain excellence in EKSA implementation.
