Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia, had organized the Workshop on Bacterial Biofilms 2017. The program was organized by Laboratory of Natural Products, Institute of Bioscience.

The program was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yaya Rukayadi and attended by 12 participants. The participants consisted of 7 lecturers from Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu and also 5 students of Universiti Putra Malaysia.

These programs are the second series after Workshop held in 2013. This workshop also gave the participants a valuable opportunity to gain knowledge as well as practical experience in introduction to bacterial biofilms, mechanism, implication of bacterial biofilms, bioassay for bacterial biofilms assessment and an application and control of bacterial biofilms.
